3D@Home Consortium to Exhibit and Hold Quarterly Meeting at

Broadcast Video Europe, London, UK, February 17-19, 2009

 

The 3D@Home Consortium will be both exhibiting and hosting their Quarterly Meeting at Broadcast Video Expo (BVE), held at Earls Court 2, London, UK, February 17-19, 2009.  We invite you to attend Broadcast Video Expo and visit the http://www.3dathome.org/ booth.

 

Broadcast Video Expo will feature the following 3D events, seminars and exhibitions:

 

·         The 3D@ Home Consortium booth # I-56 located in the BVE exhibit hall.  Consortium

      representatives will be available to answer your questions and discuss Consortium

      activities with you. 

·         3D@ Home Quarterly Meeting, February 19th, Earls Court, Harbour Room.  This is

      a gathering of 3D@Home members and a portion of the meeting will be open to guests

      interested in knowing more about the Consortium and its activities.  Guests may

      attend the Quarterly meeting from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM.  Come and hear an overview of

      the mission and activities of the 3D @ Home Consortium, a presentation from one of our

      member companies, as well as guest speakers.  We'll allow ample time for networking

      and the opportunity for you to meet with our members.  Seating is limited and pre-

      session will be chaired by Francois Mantello, Film Producer & Chairman, 3D

      Entertainment Distribution; Jean-Jacques Mantello, Film Producer; Chris Chinnock,

·         The 4th Revolution, Producers Guide to 3D Stereoscopic, Producers Theatre

      Seminar, free session, Wednesday, February 18, 3:15 PM.

·         Cinema 4D -- 3D for TV, VIZFx & Editing Seminar, free session, 3:45 PM, runs each

      day of the show.

·         Quantel will be showing 3D footage at the Quantel Bar.  Stop and quench your

      thirst at the Quantel Bar and experience 3D.

The Consortium's activities are lead by the following four Steering Teams:

Steering Team 1:  Content Creation & Production

Objective:  To focus on projects which improve the quality of 3D content for the home audience.

 

Steering Team 2:  Content Storage, Transmission & Distribution

Objective:  To develop useful definitions and guidelines for the successful storage, transmission and distribution of 3D content.

 

Steering Team 3: 3D Promotion

Objective: To promote the adoption of 3D into the home by promoting 3D format and the 3D@Home Consortium. 

 

Steering Team 4:  3D Displays

Objective: To identify issues around 3D Displays and associated hardware.
