June 15-17, 2011 ~ Orlando, FL, USA

Insight Media and InfoComm International are again teaming up to produce 3D Comm. 3D Comm will be held during the regular exhibition hours at the world's largest professional AV trade show, InfoComm 2011, running from June 15-17, 2011 in Orlando, Florida.

"Advertising, Building Information Management and medical imagery are all reliant on 3D technology, making it an important trend in critical applications," said Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., Executive Director and CEO, InfoComm International. "InfoComm is pleased to be working with Insight Media to bring back 3D Comm, a popular showcase of the latest 3D technology, providing InfoComm11 attendees with the opportunity to learn the latest about this burgeoning technology."

3D with shutter glasses, passive polarized and spectral filter glasses and even auto-stereoscopic displays that require no glasses are being used in many digital signage and ProAV applications, noted Insight Media President, Chris Chinnock. 3D Comm provides one of the best industry venues to learn about and experience 3D in ProAV.

3D Comm will consist of three elements:

The 3D Seminars will be run outside the exhibition floor in a classroom setting. These twenty-four 90-minute sessions, led by Dale Maunu and Chris Chinnock of Insight Media, as well as other leaders in the 3D industry, will focus on providing unbiased information on many aspects of the 3D ecosystem, helping attendees gain critical knowledge about technology, markets, applications and uses of 3D. Seminars will be offered in a range of levels.

"Glasses-based and no-glasses 3D solutions continue to improve each year," said Chris Chinnock, President, Insight Media. "In 2011, we expect to see improved products and more opportunities to sell, install and maintain these systems. 3D Comm is an educational event geared to those with an interest in 3D - content creation, system design, display technology, system installation and venue/business opportunities. You can choose from about 24 classes on all aspects of 3D to learn what you need from unbiased and informed instructors. If you want to learn about 3D technology and opportunities, this is the most cost effective way you will find to achieve that goal."
