Large Display Report Summary - April 2011

The April 2011 issue of Large Display Report has just shipped. This 126-page issue of LDR is loaded with interesting articles.

First, we summarize the latest news covering the impacts the Japan earthquake and Tsunami have had on the LCD industry. This section also includes multiple news stories summarizing the TV and projection industry forecasts from a number of firms. It is useful to see all these in one place for easy comparison and reference.

In the DTV space, change is occurring at a rapid pace. We have new trend stories on:

In OLEDs, we try to bring some clarity to a series of sometime conflicting announcements about the industry's intentions in large-sized panel production.

We also have a very nice article summarizing the news, products and directions in video conferencing.

Lasers, laser associations, laser compliance and laser-based displays are covered in this month's issue, too. This area is heating up and our "inside" look will give you perspective on the industry.

In the education market, we are starting a new series of by-lined articles by an educator.

His inside perspective should be very useful to anyone developing or selling products for this market.

The development of 3D channels is also accelerating. There are a number of articles on these activities, including the ability to deliver 3D video into a web browser.

We have a our usual updates on 3DTVs, glasses and AS-3D devices too, including new details on products, companies and approaches that are hard to find anywhere else.

There is much more, of course.
