Many mobile platforms are now starting to offer 3D glasses-free displays. This course will provide an explanation of the types of glass-free displays, how they operate, pros and cons, and details of many technology trends and development areas that are designed to improve performance in the near term. Some of these trends include switchable barriers or lenticular arrays, increasing panel resolution, eye-tracking, image processing, new pixel architectures, time multiplexing, etc.
